Tribute to Martin
Martin Oosthuizen passed away suddenly on Friday 14 June following a short illness. He embodied Oosthuizen & Co’s core values and grew the firm to the success it is today.
Martin joined Oosthuizen & Co in 1992. He was an admitted attorney, conveyancer and notary and a director at Oosthuizen & Co, Cape Town. He held an undergraduate BA and a post graduate LLB from the University of Stellenbosch.
He specialised in corporate, commercial and property law and civil litigation. Martin had extensive experience in company law, insolvency law, liquidations, and sequestrations, he litigated predominantly in the superior courts, and conducted several successful arbitrations and mediations. Career highlights included major wins against corporate and government institutions.
He will be greatly missed by everyone at Oosthuizen & Co, but his legacy will live on.
